How Reggie’s Oil Payment Plans Work on the South Shore
If you spent this past winter watching fuel prices climb and wondering what your next delivery would cost, you’re not alone. With global uncertainty and Middle Eastern conflict driving oil prices up, many homeowners on the South Shore of Massachusetts felt the squeeze. But here’s the thing: many Reggie’s Oil customers didn’t have to stress over those spikes at all, thanks to our pricing programs.
Let’s break down how each plan works so you can decide which one is the best fit for your household.

The Capped Price Program
Our Capped Price Program sets a ceiling on the per-gallon price you’ll pay for the upcoming cold months. We purchase heating oil at what we anticipate to be a low pre-season rate each summer, and that becomes your cap.
If Reggie’s Oil daily price falls below your price cap, then you’ll pay that lower price instead. But if prices surge, you won’t pay a penny more than your capped rate. It’s built-in protection with flexibility. There is a small insurance fee to participate, but there are no penalties if you decide to leave early. To enroll, you must sign up by July 1 each year.
When you choose the Capped Price Program, you’ll also select one of the following payment methods.
1. Budget Plan
We estimate your annual fuel usage, multiply it by the capped price, and divide that total into 10 equal monthly installments from July through April. That means you’ll have one predictable payment each month that you can plan around, just like any other household bill.

2. Pre-Payment Plan
Prefer to get it all taken care of at once? With the Pre-Payment Plan, you’ll pay your estimated season total in full during July. It’s a great option if you like checking things off the list and not thinking about heating bills once winter rolls in.
With both options, your money is never at risk. Any remaining balance at the end of the season is automatically refunded to you, unless you’d like it applied to next year’s program.
How & When to Sign Up
Our pricing programs run from July through April, and enrollment is happening right now. Getting signed up before the July 1 deadline means you’ll head into winter with a plan already in place, no surprises, no scrambling when temperatures drop.
